Salary Range:
Salary is commensurate with work experience.
The Purchasing Assistant is responsible for performing purchasing and inventory-related duties under the direction of the Purchasing Manager to maximize ROI and ensure SKU's stay in-stock for our stores.
This position will work closely with the purchasing manager, as well as accounts payable, sales, operations and logistics to ensure adequate stock of goods.
Job Duties Create and process monthly purchase orders Help manage overall inventory plans for product categories Analyze historical data of SKU's, what SKU's consistently do well and vice versa to maximize ROI Create SKU's, UPC's and item #'s for new items being added to the product list Responsible for obtaining new product details for new item set-up Maintain close relationships with vendors Negotiate with vendors to reduce costs Track purchase orders and ensure timely delivery Follow up with suppliers, as needed to confirm or change orders Communicate with our stores if any inventory issues arise Assist accounting and logistics department in resolving discrepancies between invoice and actual qualities received Update ERP system with order details (dates, vendors, costs, quantities) Other duties as assigned Job
Qualifications:
1-2 years purchasing experience Experience in inventory control and replenishment.
Experience in price shopping regardless of the commodity.
Excellent oral and written communication skills Excellent organization and time management skills Attention to detail Work independently and in a team environment Fluent in English and Chinese Wholesales industry preferred Benefit Conditions:
