The VDI Systems Engineer role is responsible for maintaining virtual desktop systems and infrastructure, and ensuring those systems deliver a high level of service. This position is responsible for creating, deploying and managing parent images and desktop pools and systems, monitoring, and improving VDI performance. Additionally, ongoing support, maintenance, and configuration of PCoIP and Wyse thin clients deployed locally and remotely. This position works closely with IT Network/System Engineers and IT Infrastructure support to monitor and release changes to the production infrastructure. Additionally, they work closely with the IT Network/Systems Manager to ensure all system changes are fully tested prior to release.
All IT team members are responsible for enhancing the capabilities and efficiencies of SynerMed's application and infrastructure portfolio. Team members support the technology needs of corporate projects and business platform work requests. The position responds to production incidents, restoring IT services quickly to reduce impact to customers.
Responsibilities:
Execute routine processes necessary for the day-to-day operation of systems. This includes, but is not limited to, deploying approved system and application changes, monitoring VDI for issues, managing VDI usage and VM capacity, gathering and reporting out performance metrics on VDI dependent networks, appliances, servers and applications and using those metrics to recommend improvements, identifying opportunities to improve monitoring, add automation, increase performance, and enhance security of production systems, driving patch and software releases to VDI systems, and resolving production incidents.
Maintain the VDI operation logs and support plans for production systems.
Adhere to all documented standards, guidelines, and procedures.
Maintain standards for supporting infrastructure and applications in the production environment and ensure that all changes to the production environment adhere to those standards.
Ensure that solutions maintain compliance with SynerMed and regulatory standards.
Perform other duties as assigned.

Experience:
Three or more years of experience managing VDI systems in a technical capacity.
In depth knowledge of virtualization system technologies, specifically VMware Horizon View, VMware VSphere and VCenter (HA and VMotion).
Knowledge of Microsoft Hyper-V and App-V.
Strong troubleshooting and analytical skills.
Knowledge of Microsoft system and application technologies, including Lync and Active Directory.
Two to Three years of experience installing and configuring thin client devices, and security.
Experience with Dell Server and Storage products, including EqualLogic.
Familiarity with scripting, and VDI, PCoIP and systems performance tuning.
Experience supporting solutions with high availability and real time monitoring.Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.

The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
