Summary:

The successful candidate for this Encryption Security Engineer position will be an experienced professional who will be responsible for designing and supporting encryption solutions.
Major
Responsibilities:
Application, database and file encryption technologies, internal enterprise certificate authority, as well as centralized logging of the solutions.
Engineering and support of back end appliances and the agent software to encrypt data at rest, and to provide centralized certificate management, for the enterprise.
Engineering, support, testing, troubleshooting, and assistance for deployment of the solution(s) with data owners.
Interacting with encryption solution vendors to ensure product is in line with objectives and security requirements of the enterprise.
Required:
5 years' experience in information technology with emphasis on Information Security.
Intermediate to advanced systems engineering skills with Windows, Unix/Linus, or both Strong knowledge of command line syntax, and the ability to write, edit, and troubleshoot complex scripts Experience with install, config, and/or support of databases, like MSSQL, Oracle, and/or others.
Experience with install, config, and/or support of MS certificate authority services.
Experience working with centralized logging tools like Splunk or Syslog-NG.
Understanding, or experience with setup, support, troubleshooting of TLS connections.
Proven analytical, problem solving, and technical troubleshooting skills Proven ability to meet aggressive timelines Ability to work well with both local and remote team members Ability to communicate effectively with both business/management, and technical/engineering team members.
Preferred:
Experience with certificate management tool Venafi, and Microsoft certificate authority Experience with external certificate authority vendors such as Comodo, Digicert, and Symantec Experience with encryption security products such as Safenet, Voltage, Vormetric, or Thales.
Experience with encryption in cloud environments like Amazon and Azure.
Experience with Balabit Syslog-NG.
Experience with MSSQL, or Oracle TDE.
Knowledge or experience with cloud encryption solutions.
Automation through scripting and/or programming.
Financial services experience in a Top 10 Banking environment Certifications desired:
